To continue providing innovation to the market and focused research and development, occasionally we must discontinue support for our older products and help guide our customers to newer and superior software and technology platforms. We are sending this announcement to make you aware of an important product lifecycle event that is planned for Verba version 8.x. Verba v8.0 was first released in Q4 2014, it reached end of sales in Q1 2018, and will reach end of support on 31 December, 2020.
We highly recommend that you upgrade your solution to our latest Verint Financial Compliance Capture (Verba) v9.5 platform before this End of Support milestone. If you are enrolled in one of our software maintenance plans that includes free major version upgrades, you will receive licenses for this upgrade, on a like for like basis, at no additional charge
What Is End of Support?
After the end of support date, there will be no more updates or technical support for the version 8 systems. It is very important that customers and partners who still run version 8, migrate to the latest version to receive regular updates and benefit from enhanced security, support for new communication platforms, new recording technologies, new storage integrations, scalability and performance improvement, and numerous new features including system dashboards, new UI design, advanced support for trader voice platforms, import from legacy platforms, etc.
The 9.x versions of the platform include many functional enhancements and non-functional enhancements, as well as updates to tech stack to ensure continued support of third party applications. Full details of each release are listed here https://releases.verba.com.
How to Upgrade to the Latest Version?
Customers and partners with an active support plan are eligible to download the latest software version from the Verint Financial Compliance Capture/Verba Support Site. Customers can contact their integrator partner to deliver the upgrade service. Customers may also order the Upgrade Assistance service from Verint and a Verint Engineer will assist in upgrading the system.
